About This Spot

Stepping into Hobnob Corner, you’re greeted by the quiet hum of a well-loved neighborhood gathering place, where the charm of small-town Nashville settles in around you like a familiar, worn-in quilt. It’s a spot where the pace slows just enough to savor the moment—whether you’ve stopped in for the first time or are a returning friend. Rustic wood floors and well-weathered tables hum with the stories of neighbors meeting over plates of thoughtfully prepared American classics.

Here, hospitality doesn’t just come from the friendly, attentive staff—it emanates from the very atmosphere, inviting you to lean into conversation and comfort. The hum of quiet laughter and the occasional clink of a wine glass hint at evenings that stretch into easy, unhurried dinners. With a wine list that feels like a journey through familiar but thoughtfully chosen regions, it’s a place where selecting a glass becomes part of the experience, casually explored at your own pace.

The food flows naturally into the rhythm of the room, generous and honest without pretense. Breakfasts lend a warm start to the day, with dishes that hold true to their roots—biscuits and gravy, eggs Benedict with a subtle twist—serving as gentle morning rituals. As daylight gives way to twilight, hearty sandwiches and savory specials find their way to tables laden with conversations, paired perfectly with the kind of wine that invites you to linger just a little longer.

In a town known for its steady pulse of change and growth, Hobnob Corner stands as a quiet reminder of places that remember the value of comfort and connection. It’s a corner where the small moments—a perfectly toasted rye roll, the welcoming nod from the server, the mellow clatter of plates—build into an experience both timeless and distinctly local.

Hobnob is a must! We ate lunch here and breakfast the next morning. We ordered the small serving of the open-face turkey melt, the wonderfully tender and delicious pot roast sandwich, and the Ruby Martin Rueben sandwich. All sandwiches are served with steak fries. Our yummy desserts were the peanut butter pie and the strawberry shortcake. For breakfast the next morning we ordered the delicious brisket Logger’s Hash with eggs & toast and the Hill Country breakfast of eggs/bacon/toast with a side of a biscuit & gravy. Service was friendly and attentive. We returned this year for breakfast. My husband ordered the blueberry tall stack of 3 plate-size pancakes and bacon. They were very good! I ordered the omelette special: cheese omelette on a bed of corned beef hash and topped with hollandaise sauce. It was delicious. Again, service by Samantha was outstanding! One suggestion I would have: repaint the 2 green benches outside the restaurant and add the Hobnob picture that is on the coffee mugs.

Great place for a meal while you're in town. It's busy at times but even during peak season there were less busy times. Are breakfast and had the salmon eggs Benedict. Came back and had the duck special in the evening and was quite pleased with both experiences. The wait staff was friendly and attentive even when very busy.

The food was delicious with good portions and reasonably priced. The service was good. The floors were dirty but I did enjoy the old charm and character of the establishment.

This is a rustic restaurant serving up American fare right in the heart of Nashville. We stopped in on a Saturday morning and we're able to get a table right away, though if you aren't there early expect to wait a bit. The food was tasty and the portions were relatively large as well. I especially liked the biscuits and gravy. Service was friendly and the food came out relatively quick. Bonus points because the place is in a historic building which really adds to the overall vibe!

Enjoy places like this before they’re gone. Great food! Love the rye/caraway rolls. Excellent wines by the glass. Always a favorite!

I've been to this restaurant many times and it never disappoints. Went with my parents and it was so delicious. It is so sad that they are having to close after so many years of business. Each of us really enjoyed what we ordered. The staff was very personable and very attentive to our orders and drinks. Will look forward to the anticipated cookbook of the food they served for many years.

Very nice interior, old fashioned but aestheically pleasing. I got a seasonal asparagus dish, and my mom got a small sized tuna melt. We both liked our food. We also got the Strawberry shortcake for dessert, and that was pretty good. My mom rated that one as average. I would recommend!
